Flooding expected. Take action now.
A flood warning has been issued for River Wharfe at Burley in Wharfedale, river levels are rising quickly. Areas most at risk include Sports Pavilion, Crook Farm, properties off Coutances Way, Ilkley Road, Greenholme Trading Estate and Otley Road. Some properties near Wood Head Beck. The Sewage Works, Maple Bank Farm and some properties off Hag Farm Road. Further rainfall is expected for the rest of Sunday 20/02/2022 and into tomorrow Monday 21/02/2022. We are monitoring river levels closely. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Visit the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast and up to date river levels.
