Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high on the River Wharfe at Cawood Park due to recent rainfall associated with Storm Henk. The river is beginning to peak and levels should begin to slowly drop tonight, Wednesday 03/01/2024. Areas most at risk include properties in Cawood Park including Ryther Road. Further showers are forecast over the coming days and levels are expected to remain high. Our incident room remains open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 4AM on Thursday 04/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
