Flooding expected. Take action now.
A flood warning has been issued for the River Wharfe at Harewood Bridge due to rising river levels, following heavy rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Wharfe, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Mill Farm, Saw Mill and Bar Lodge. Some further light rainfall is expected today, Wednesday 01/01/2025.
We are monitoring river levels closely and our Incident Room is open. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Visit the GOV.UK website for a 5-day flood forecast and up to date river levels.
This message will be updated this by 6:00PM Wednesday 01/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
