This flood warning is now in force. Levels on the River Wharfe are rising due to intense rainfall over the last 24 hours during Storm Eunice. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Wharfe, with low lying land expected to be most affected. Areas of particular concern are at Bridge Foot by the Wilderness car park, and Scott Lane, Wetherby.
Further rainfall is expected overnight on Sunday 20/02/2022 and into Monday 21/02/2022. We are monitoring river levels closely. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Visit the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast and up to date river levels. This message will be updated by 09:00am on 21/02/2022, or as the situation changes.
