River levels are high on the River Wheelock and Arclid Brook due to rainfall.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Wheelock and Arclid Brook, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Crewe Road, Chapel Street and Cottons Lane including Wheelock Methodist Church.
River levels are expected to remain high.
We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert/warning if necessary.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
This message will be updated as the situation changes.
