Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels are rising at the Ashford river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property and roads is expected. Areas most at risk are Wye Bank, Brook Side, and Milford at Bakewell.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to rise until 23:00 today,02/01/24.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and move family, pets and cars to safety.
This message will be updated by 02:00 tomorrow morning, 03/01/24, or as the situation changes.
