Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels have risen on the River Wye as a result of Storm Alex. Therefore, flooding of property is expected to continue in the Wooburn Green area, especially around Windsor Lane. Flooding of properties in other areas is not forecast at this point. Further heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to continue to rise throughout today with further forecast rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in the area checking defences and clearing weed/trash screens. Please avoid contact with flood water, activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and stay aware in case further warnings or updates are issued. This message will be updated this evening, 04/10/20, or as the situation changes.
