Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Wyre. Flooding is expected from 8:00 AM on 01/01/2025. Heavy rain will continue until mid morning. Our incident response staff are in the area and Garstang flood storage basin is in use. However, the basin has reached full capacity, meaning flood risk downstream is increased. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so. This message will be updated by 12:00 noon on 01/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
