Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Floodwater is reducing but a considerable amount of water remains on the Somerset Levels and Moors. The low-lying roads and land adjacent to the River Yeo are still affected.
We are utilising the Parrett Relief Channel to manage levels in the River Parrett and operating as many pumps as possible as river and water levels on the moors allow.
Wednesday and Thursday are forecast to be largely dry. The weather is expected to be more unsettled at the weekend, when there is a potential for outbreaks of rain.
We are closely monitoring the situation, and our Field Teams are operating structures and pumps.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Don’t put yourself or others at risk.
