Rising river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 12 March 2026 .
The band of rain will clear to the south by this evening. Tonight will then have variable cloud with patchy rain in the early hours, which will fall wintry on higher ground. Staying windy.
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers Duddon, Crake, Mill Beck and other watercourses from Coniston to Barrow-in-Furness including low lying areas around Ulpha, Duddon Bridge, Broughton in Furness, Kirkby-in-Furness, Dalton in Furness and Ulverston.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
