Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

Flooding continues to be a possible on 14 and 15 December 2025 .


Persistent rainfall is forecast throughout Sunday (14/12/2025) and Monday (15/12/2025), which will cause river and lake levels to rise however we do not expect Flood Warnings to be issued at this time. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near the river Derwent from Keswick to Bassenthwaite. The rivers Greta, Glenderamackin and St Johns Beck including Keswick.


We are closely monitoring the situation .


Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
