Flooding expected. Take action now.
High tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding this evening.
Flooding is expected from 8:30pm to 9:00pm on 04/04/2026.
Areas most at risk include the coastline between Gullhouse Point and Marine Parade including the Marine Lake, Elton Road and The Beach.
The detailed tidal forecast for those who use it is for a peak level at Hinkley Point of 7.44 mAODN at 8:45pm GMT, which is 1.75 m above tide tables, with west south westerly force 8 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level.)
After the high tide 9:00pm GMT Saturday evening, the weather is more settled and no further tidal flooding is expected.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid beaches and coastal promenades, which may be flooded .
