Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Storm Darragh will bring very strong winds, and the potential for large waves and spray overtopping, along the coastline during high tide tomorrow morning.
Flooding is possible two hours each side of the high tide at 10:15 AM, on Saturday morning, 07/12/2024.
Areas most at risk include the coastline between Gore Point and Hurlstone Point including properties on the lockside, businesses around the Harbour Masters office, Gibraltar Cottages and other low lying properties on the B3225 at Porlock Weir.
The detailed tidal forecast for Saturday morning at 10:15AM, is a peak level at Hinkley Point of 4.78 mAODN, with a westerly force 10 wind. (mAODN is height above average sea level.)
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.
Tidal conditions are expected to improve tomorrow evening and no flooding is expected. This message will be updated by 12:00AM on Saturday 06/12/2024, or as the situation changes.
