High tides tomorrow evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide on Sunday evening 30th of August. High tide at Falmouth is at 19:26
Areas particularly at risk include low lying coastal communities including Cadgwith and Coverack, Porthallow, the tidal Helford Estuary, Maenporth and Swanpool, St.Mawes, East Portholland, Gorran Haven, Portmellon, Mevagissey, Pentewan and Par.
Forecast total high tide level is 2.7m AOD. Expect tides to be between 300-310mm over tide table level. Expect force 6 SW winds and wave heights of over 2m.
Coastal conditions should ease by Monday mornings high tide.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .
