WARNING UPDATE. Flooding is expected in Spey Dam to Newtonmore. Act now.
Water levels on the River Spey remain very high through Tuesday. Rain continues to affect the area. Any areas affected by flooding on Monday continue to be impacted and we could see the situation deteriorate further during Tuesday. From late evening on Hogmanay the situation is expected to begin to improve. Agricultural land along the Spey Valley from Spey Dam to Newtonmore is expected to flood. Low lying properties, roads and access routes along the Spey Valley from Spey Dam to Newtonmore may also be at risk of flooding.
