Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels today may lead to continued flooding. Flooding is possible on 22nd January 2026. River levels are forecast to rise again this evening and overnight into tomorrow as a result of further rainfall.
Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from Wolverley to Newport. Other locations that may be affected include Market Drayton, Wem, and Rodington.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
