Flooding expected. Take action now.
This message has been issued because some minor flooding to coastal roads and footpaths is likely due to high tides between 8:30pm and 10:30pm today, Friday 24th February. Areas most at risk are Coast Road in Salthouse and, Coast Road in Cley. Flooding is also expected for Salthouse and Cley marshes. The detailed forecast, for those that use it, is for a peak level at Wells of 3.96 mAODN at 9:30pm tonight, Friday 24th February, which is 0.78m above tide tables, wind Force 5, northerly. (mAODN is height above average sea level, for more information refer to local tide tables). The current series of high spring tides has now reached its peak, and will fall away over the next few days. You are advised to stay away from risk areas, and take care next to the coast. We are monitoring the situation and not expecting it to escalate. We will update this message by 9am tomorrow, Saturday 25th February.
