This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely between 4:45pm and 8:45pm today, Monday 8 April. Areas most at risk are, The Quay, East End and roads joining the Quay between the Flood Barrier and East End including, Unns Yard, Jicklings Yard, Staithe Street, Croft Yard and Standard Street. The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level at Wells of 4.04 mAODN at 6:45pm today, Monday 8 April, which is 0.77m above tide tables, wind Force 4, in a south-easterly direction (mAODN is height above average sea level, for more info refer to local tide tables). Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message tomorrow morning, Tuesday 9 April.
