Flood warning

This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely today, Saturday 16th March and for the next few days. River levels are currently high due to the ongoing risk of groundwater flooding. Groundwater levels are slowly dropping but remain responsive to any further rainfall. Areas most at risk are North Creake, South Creake and Burnham Thorpe including the B1355. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. The forecast is for light rain today with more heavier rain forecast for tomorrow afternoon and evening. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation and not expecting the situation to escalate. We will update this message by 10am Sunday 17th March, or as the situation changes.
