Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides on Friday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible for 1 hour either side of Friday's early morning tide at 03:00 on 09/01/2026.
Storm Goretti increases tide table values by 0.78 m. Total forecast tide is 5.32 metres Chart Datum (2.58 mAOD) at Chichester Harbour. Gale Force 8 North Westerly wind. The tide will flood Shore Road. At Bosham High Street, water will be near to or flood front door steps. Gardens or land of shore side properties around the Harbour could also be affected. Friday's tide at 15:15 09/01/2026 is forecast to be 94 cm lower (1.64 mAOD). Subsequent tides will continue to fall as we approach neap tides. Without large waves pushing up tide table values, flood risk should reduce.
