Flooding expected. Take action now.
Flooding is expected for areas within the Camel Estuary over the high tide on the morning of Tuesday 9th April. High water at Padstow is at 06:29, times of high water will vary along the coast.
Gale force 8 north westerly winds and offshore wave heights of up to 5m are forecast with flooding to properties possible two hours either side of high tide. Expect tides to be up to 300mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions.
Locations particularly at risk include the A389 at Sladesbridge.
Do not drive through flood water or waves. The tidal gates at Padstow have been closed.
Coastal conditions should ease for Tuesday evening’s high tide, however we are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue an update by 11am on Tuesday.
Detailed tidal information for those who use it; The forecast high tide level at Padstow is 4.63 mAOD, this is 0.3 metres above astronomical tide level.
