Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels on Tuesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 27 January 2026 from 02:00 as a lot of rain is forecast (30mm).
If as much rain falls as forecast, flooding could affect roads in Petersfield, possibly affecting Winchester Road and Merritts Meadow. Higher river levels than Wednesday, 21/01/2026, are expected. Rain associated with Storm Chandra is forecast this evening, overnight and into tomorrow. River levels and flood risk will remain high throughout tomorrow. Further showers are forecast for the next few days.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and ensuring the river is kept free of reported blockages in Petersfield.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have .
