Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Due to Derwent Water remaining high following recent rainfall a Flood Alert will remain in force. Derwent Water level is currently receding and will continue to do so over the coming days as high pressure builds bringing a period of settled and dry weather.
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near the Upper Derwent from Seathwaite to Derwent Water.
We continue to closely monitor the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 9:00AM on Friday 30 October or as the situation changes.
