Upper River Tamar Flood alert 1:35pm, Thursday 26th February

Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Forecast high river levels this evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 26 February 2026 and into the early hours of 27th February 2026.
Prolonged rainfall is forecast during Thursday and overnight into Friday, with up to 30mm possible in some areas. The area of most concern on the Upper Tamar is around Bridgerule, however no properties are expected to flood. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
