Flood alert

River levels remain high. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Littlethorpe, Braunstone, Aylestone, Abbey Park, Birstall and Wanlip, and Braunstone Lane East, Sharnford, Croft, the Mill on the Soar car park and Falconry. Rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at the Littlethorpe and Freeman Weir Gauges will remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . This message will be updated by 20:00 on 17 February 2026 or as the situation changes
