The heavy and persistent rainfall that fell recently caused river levels in the Waithe Beck catchment to rise. High river levels have already caused flooding of low lying land and roads around Hatcliffe. River levels have started to stabilise but remain at levels of concern. Forecasts indicate the further rainfall is expected Thursday 14th November, this may cause levels to rise again, this Flood Warning will be re-issued if further property flooding is expected. We will continue to monitor the situation closely. Stay safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Do not walk along flood banks and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by Thursday 14th of November or as the situation changes.
