Flooding possible. Be prepared.

A FLOOD ALERT UPDATE has been issued for Western Isles.
This alert is for coastal flooding. On Tuesday into Wednesday, a combination of very strong winds, a storm surge and spring tides could cause dangerous conditions around the coasts. There is a risk of locally significant coastal flooding. This may include wave and spray overtopping to exposed coastal areas and high sea levels affecting low lying areas. The greatest risk is around the time of high tides on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning Potential impacts include disruption to travel and infrastructure and flooding of roads and parts of communities.
