Flood alert

River levels remain high today as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Flooding is possible on 17 February 2026. Areas most at risk are around Alconbury Brook at Hamerton, The Alconburys, Little Stukeley and Brampton. You are advised to move cars out of these flood risk areas. The Hamerton gauge is on a regular scanning cycle. We are not expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. The forecast is dry today. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00am on Wednesday 18 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
