Flood warning

Heavy rain has fallen in the River Nene catchment over the last few days, with potential for further rain tomorrow, Wednesday 27th November. This has caused the River Nene to rise. Levels are expected to remain high for several days. Low lying areas near to the river are flooded and we expect properties in Wellingborough to be affected. Low lying properties near the river on Irthlingborough Road in Wellingborough are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by Wednesday 27th November, or before if the situation changes.
