Flood Warning

We are issuing the flood warning for Arkle Beck at Reeth and Low Fremington due to forecast heavy rain associated with Storm Ciara. Widespread heavy rain accompanied by high winds are forecast from Saturday evening, 08/02/2020 and overnight into Sunday. The forecast peak level on Arkle Beck is currently 2.16m. River levels are forecast to start responding by 0130 hours on Sunday morning, 09/02/2020 at Reeth. River levels are expected to remain high overnight and on Sunday. We are monitoring the situation closely. The Area Incident Room will be open from Saturday afternoon, and operational staff are out clearing trash screens. We will aim to update this message in 8 hours or earlier, if the situation changes.
