WARNING UPDATE. Flooding is expected in Aviemore/Dalfaber to Grantown. Act now.
Water levels on the River Spey are high following heavy rain on Sunday night and Monday morning. More rain is affecting the River Spey catchment overnight on Monday night and into Tuesday. The latest rain will cause the river level to rise further throughout Monday night and the day on Tuesday. Low lying properties and access roads along the Spey Valley from Aviemore to Grantown are expected to flood, including in the areas around Boat of Garten and Nethy Bridge. Routes may be impassable and extensive flooding to low lying land in the valley is expected.
