Flood warning

River levels have risen on the Belford Burn due to persistent rainfall and snowmelt.

Flooding is expected at properties and low lying areas around Bluebell Farm, West Street bridge, central bridge and South Road from 01:15 AM on 05/12/2023.

Further rainfall is forecast overnight into Tuesday morning, therefore river levels will be elevated until tomorrow afternoon.

We will continue to monitor levels closely.

Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
