Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high but are beginning to fall as a result of localised thunderstorms earlier this afternoon. The risk of flooding remains for properties and roads close to the Beverley Brook in Motspur Park and West Barnes throughout this evening, 25th July 2021, and overnight tonight.
Further light rainfall with isolated showers is forecast over the next 6 hours but this is not expected to be as heavy as the rain experienced this afternoon. Standing water may remain in low lying areas even after the levels in the river have fallen and the risk of surface water flooding continues.
Our incident response staff are actively monitoring the situation.
Please follow advice from emergency services and take photographs of any flood damage.
This message will be updated by 00:30am tonight, 26th July 2021, or as the situation changes.
