This Flood Warning has been removed.
River levels have now fallen below the level expected to cause flooding. There is no longer a threat of flooding to properties, though standing water and debris may still remain in gardens and low lying areas near the Beverley Brook. Further thunderstorms and heavy rain are forecast over the next 12 hours but these are not expected to be as intense as yesterday, Sunday 25th July.
We continue to monitor the situation and our incident response staff are clearing debris from trash screens. There is still a flood alert in force for the Beverley Brook which means there is a risk of flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river as a result of forecast heavy rain today, Monday 26th July 2021.
Please stay aware in case further warnings are issued and take photographs of any flood damage.
