Flood warning

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this evening. 
Flooding is expected on 18 December 2025 . 
The River Avon levels are rising near and at Bradford on Avon in response to the continued wet weather falling on very saturated catchments. Approximately 20-30mm has fallen over the last 24 hours over the upper Bristol Avon catchment. The River Avon is expected reach 2.2m stage tonight at 10pm with a peak level of approximately 2.7m to 2.9m occurring at 10am on the 19 December 20205.

Areas most at risk include properties at the Bullpit in Bradford on Avon. If river levels continue to rise the A363 Silver Street at the Bull Pit and Town Bridge maybe closed and will not be passable. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
