Warning no longer in force

Water levels in the Lymington River are now falling following yesterday’s rain when 30 mm was recorded at Brockenhurst. This is a significant amount of rain in a short period of time. This is in addition to the prolonged rainfall over the last few months. The weather is now fairly dry for the next 5 days. We expect water levels to continue to fall over the next few days. No further property flooding is expected, but the river level will remain higher than normal for the next few days. A Flood Alert for the Lymington River remains in force. We will continue to monitor the river and weather forecast information.
