Flooding expected. Take action now.
This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely during today, Sunday 5th January. River levels are rising from the recent rainfall. Areas most at risk are Smiths Green, Helions Rd, Water Lane, the bottom of Church Street, North Street, Blois Road, the Endway and the Blois Meadows Business Centre in Steeple Bumpstead, and waterside properties in Broad Green. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. The forecast is for continued unsettled weather today and tomorrow. Be ready to take action to protect your property if flooding is expected. We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message tomorrow morning, Monday 6th January, or as the situation changes.
