Warning no longer in force

Following the heavy rainfall associated with Storm Dennis, levels on Car Brook peaked in the early hours of this morning, 16/02/20, at levels below those seen during Storm Ciara. River levels have now fallen now below the level of concern and consequently, the Flood Alert for this area has now been removed.
Scattered showers are forecast for the rest of the day today, 16/02/20, and during the first half of the week. We do not anticipate a significant river level response, but levels are expected to remain higher than average for at least the next two days. Please be aware that standing water may still remain on low-lying land and roads.
We continue to monitor the situation closely from our incident room.
Please see GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast. Avoid contact with flood water, and please plan your driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may still have standing water on them
