Rising river levels on the Chaffinch Brook are expected to cause flooding imminently on Friday 27/09/2024.
Areas most at risk are properties close to the St James Stream on Upper Elmer’s End Road and surrounding roads.
Further heavy showers are forecast throughout today, 27/09/2024, meaning further flooding is possible.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and checking rivers for blockages in the area.
Stay away from floodwater - it may contain hidden dangers such as open manhole covers, sewage and chemicals.
