Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are continuing to rise steadily on the Chalgrove Brook as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue overnight (23/09/2024), especially in areas closest to the Chalgrove Brook in Chalgrove on Mill Lane and The Green.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast overnight, clearing by the morning. We expect river levels to continue slowly rising over the coming hours in response to continuing rainfall. Levels are expected to stabilise overnight. Our staff are checking and clearing trash screens.
We are monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 24/09/2024, or as the situation changes.
