Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides this evening and both morning and evening high tides on Monday may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from 06:50pm to 10:50pm on the 25/10/2026. Flooding is also possible from 07:11am to 11:11am and 07:30pm to 11:30pm on the 26/10/2026. Areas most at risk include Christchurch Harbour and tidal stretches of the Lower Stour and Avon. The detailed tidal forecast for those who use it is - the first forecast high water of 1.22mAODN is at 08:50pm, with westerly force 5 winds. The second forecast high water is at 09:11am on the 26 October with a level of 1.38mAODN with southerly force 6 winds. The third forecast high water is at 09:30pm with a level of 1.36mAODN with south westerly force 6 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level.). We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded. Don't put yourself or others at risk. This message will be updated by 02:00PM on Monday 26 October or as the situation changes.
