Thursday's early morning tide at 01:45 on 11/04/2024 is higher than normal due to unsettled weather. The weather increases tide table values by 0.07m. The total forecast tide is 6.17 metres Chart Datum (3.12 mAOD) at Littlehampton, approximately 50cm lower than Monday evening. For 2 hours either side of high tide, minor flood impacts are expected. Water could find its way behind the beach and may pond on nearby land and fields including at Climping Street Car Park, Mill Lane and near residential property in Climping Street. Thursday's afternoon tide at 14:00 on 11/04/2024 is forecast to be 20cm lower (2.97 mAOD). Similar minor flood impacts are expected again Thursday afternoon. Minor flood impacts could continue until Saturday 13/04/2024. In order to reduce flood risk to property, our operations staff are moving shingle to try and improve the beach crest. Access could be restricted during and after high tide. Take care if visiting Climping beach. A Flood Alert remains in force to describe minor impacts. We will reissue this Flood Warning if property flooding is expected.
