Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides, strong winds and large waves overnight may lead to flooding.
Highest tide level is expected to be at Fleetwood, Larkholme, Broadwater, Cleveleys, Rossall Beach, Anchorsholme, Blackpool and Revoe at 2:15 AM on 23/08/2024. Flooding is possible 3 hours either side of this time.
Waves are forecast to overtop coastal defences at Fleetwood, Larkholme, Broadwater, Cleveleys, Rossall Beach, Anchorsholme, Blackpool and Revoe.
Further flooding is possible for the tide at 2:55 AM on Saturday 24/08/2024 due to spring tides and strong winds over the next few days
We are closely monitoring the situation and checking flood defences.
Be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.
