Flood warning

River levels remain high on the Colne Brook due to recent heavy rainfall, however levels are now falling slowly.

Flooding is affecting locations near the Colne Brook, with low lying land most affected, particularly around Thorney Mill Road.

The weather today, Wednesday 6th March, will be mostly dry with some light rain showers. River levels will continue to slowly fall.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area.

Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings.

Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
