Property flooding is possible. River levels have risen on the Cranleigh Water as a result of a period of sustained rainfall overnight. Therefore, flooding of roads and farmland is expected today (21/10/21) and flooding of properties is possible, especially Cranleigh and Shamley Green. The forecast is for a dry day today and tomorrow, so levels are expected to fall slowly throughout today and tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. This message will be updated this evening 21/10/2021, or as the situation changes.
