Flood warning

The water level in the Lavant Stream at Crosslands Drive is high and rising rapidly. In the last 6 hours, heavy and intense rain has fallen, with 35mm recorded at Walderton. This is a significant amount in a short period of time. From 22:00 this evening (16/11/22), property nearest to the river at Crosslands Drive and New Lane could flood. The heaviest rain has now cleared the area. Showery conditions will continue until later this evening and into the early hours of tomorrow morning. The river will peak at 02:00 (17/11/22). Our operational staff are en route to site and will clear the debris screen at Crossland Drive. We continue to monitor the forecast. If you have it, please install flood protection now. If you wish to view it, our river level data at Crossland Drive is displayed on www.gov.uk. This Flood Warning will be updated by 10:00 17/11/22.
