Crowhurst

Warning no longer in force

Water levels in the Powdermill Stream remain high but are beginning to fall steadily, and we no longer consider there to be properties at risk of flooding in Crowhurst. The catchment received 30 mm of persistent rain today (Sunday 16/02/2020), which is a significant amount in a short period of time. Isolated flooding impacts could still affect fields, rural roads and gardens. Rain is possible tomorrow (17/02/2020) but this is not expected to increase water levels further. The river will return to normal by Monday morning (17/02/2020). We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid driving through flood water.
