Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

High tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding throughout the evening. 
Flooding is expected from 1:00AM to 3:00AM on 05/04/2026. 
Potential flooding due to high winds from Storm Dave, subsequent tides not expected to have any impacts. Areas most at risk include Rockcliffe, Longburgh, Port Carlisle, Bowness-on-Solway, Anthorn, Angerton and Skinburness areas. We have closed flood gates at Skinburness Marsh. 
We are closely monitoring the situation and will issue further alerts or warnings if necessary. 
Avoid coastal footpaths, which may be flooded . 
This message will be updated by 8:00AM on 05 April 2026 or as the situation changes.
