Flooding expected. Take action now.
High tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding this evening.
Flooding is expected from 21:00PM on 24/10/2026 to 01:00AM on 25/10/2026.
Flooding is possible due to high tides and strong winds from Storm Boelo. Locations most affected will be the Cumbrian coastline from Gretna to Silloth, areas at risk include Rockcliffe, Longburgh, Port Carlisle, Bowness-on-Solway, Anthorn, Angerton and Skinburness areas.
We are closely monitoring the situation and have closed the flood gates at Skinburness Marsh.
Avoid seafronts and harbours due to wave overtopping and spray containing debris.
This message will be updated by 9:00AM on Sunday 25 October or as the situation changes.
