Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

The river levels are continuing to rise on the Doniford Stream due to significant rainfall during today, Sunday, 25/02/2024. Flooding is possible from around 7:30pm tonight.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Doniford Stream, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Roebuck Gate to Sampford Brett Bridge, including Water Bridge, Kingswood, Cottiford and riverside properties at Sampford Brett.
The rainfall is expected to continue into this evening, but drier weather is forecast for Monday and Tuesday.
We will continue to monitor the rainfall and water levels closely. Consider acting on your flood plan if you have one, and activating any property flood protection products you have. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions, and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 2pm on Monday, 26/02/2024, or as the situation changes.
